FAQ
We’re not shy. We’ve been asked just about everything.
Are your Body Butters safe for silicone toys?
If you would like to use an oil-based lube with your favorite silicone toys, be sure to wash them thoroughly with soap and water immediately after you are finished using them. If your toy is made from glass or stainless steel, use as much oil-based lube as you'd like! It will not harm them.
Are Southern Butter products condom safe?
Our Water-Based Lubricant is condom safe. It is not advised to use oil-based lubricants with latex condoms. Our Enhance, Backdoor Balm, Massage Oils, and Body Butters are oil-based, so they are not condom safe.
Can I use the Massage Oils and Body Butters in my nether regions?
Yes! Our Massage Oils and Body Butters are natural, gentle, and safe for your most sensitive areas. If you have any concerns about having an allergy to any of the natural ingredients in our products, we always recommend performing a patch test to a small area of the skin and waiting 24-48 hours to see how your skin reacts.
How much Enhance am I supposed to apply to my nether regions?
A little goes a long way! We recommend applying a pea-sized amount or smaller. You can always apply more if needed.
Is Backdoor Balm suitable for hemorrhoids?
Yes! Backdoor Balm helps relieve the symptoms and irritation from hemorrhoids. It helps calm and soothe delicate tissues as well as relieve discomfort, itch, and swelling. It is also recommended for pre- and post-anal play & sex care.
Are Southern Butter products safe to ingest?
Yes!
Are Southern Butter products Gluten Free and Vegan?
Southern Butter products are gluten free, but they are not all vegan due to some of the products containing beeswax. The Massage Oils and Water-Based Lubricants are vegan.
Are Southern Butter products safe to use during pregnancy?
All Southern Butter products are safe to use during pregnancy.
Are Southern Butter products good for other uses?
Our Body Butters and Massage Oils are perfect as after-shower/bath moisturizers. They are very hydrating for your skin during cold, dry winter months.
My Body Butter seems to have beads of product in it. What do I do?
This is completely normal. Our Body Butters are made with Coconut Oil and Shea Butter which are sensitive to temperature. The beads of oil will melt when they make contact with your skin from your body temperature.
